Physician Shortage Area Program– This site describes a special program with Jefferson Medical College for students interested in a career in small town/rural family medicine. Allegheny students who fit the criteria for this program receive preferential treatment in the admissions process.

Summer Medical and Dental Education Program This site describes the SMDEP, a FREE (full tuition, housing, and meals) six-week summer academic enrichment program, that offers freshman and sophomore college students intensive and personalized medical and dental school preparation.
